2014 was a great year for books for me, these are the handful of books which stood out for me, they kept me awake until the early hours, made me even more anti-social than ever, had me constantly laughing out loud, or just breaking my heart to smithereens. They are books which I know I will look forward to reading time and time again!

Which books were your favourites of 2014?

Ooh, a lot of contemporaries. I really need to get my hands on To All the Boys I've Loved Before and On the Fence. They sound like books that are my type of read, but the timing has always been off.

I really enjoyed To All the Boys I've Loved Before as well. I have a copy of The Chocolate Rose just waiting to be read, so I'm hoping to get to that soon. Same with The Darkest Minds. Your list acts as a reminder to me about books I still need to read! :) Yay for a great reading year for you!

The only books I read that are on your list are To All The Boys I Loved Before and On the Fence. What is wrong with me? LOL you're making me want to read all the other books before the year is done!

I loved Shimmer, On the Fence and Magnolia! I was surprised how much I enjoyed the last two. I read the first in the Chocolate series this year, but need to get back into reading more soon. And you can't go wrong with those assassin nuns. Great picks! Hope 2015 is even more exciting for you!

I haven't read any of these! That's great you had so many awesome titles this year though. I really loved The Silkworm by J.K. Rowling (of COURSE) among others. :)

I have only read a few of your picks and a couple of others are in my pile. I have my list up next Tuesday :)

Some of these books you mentioned are my favorite too, especially Grave Mercy and Magnolia. Magnolia especially was a lovely read. I'll have to do one of these lists as well! :)
Lovely list!

I've only read one of these (ON THE FENCE), but most of the others are on my TBR mountain chain. Now I just need to find the time to read them!

I don't think I am at that point where I could decide my top ten books of the year but I am so happy to see some of the books on your list! :DDD

Grave Mercy makes me especially happy since it was one of my favorites from last year! :) It was such a good boook. GAVRIEL <3

I am also very happy to see Magnolia! :D It was such a fun read and while I haven't decided if it's favorite from this year, I did love it to bits and pieces! :D
